Cougar flight 491 has been on my mind since it fell into the ocean on March 12th, 2009. I'm having a hard day. I have been listening to Mark Frost's song "Fall Into The Ocean" over and over... and I still can't believe that our friends are gone. As I sit here typing away, the tears are flowing obscuring my view.A couple of days ago, I created a website dedicated to the crew aboard Cougar Flight 491. Here is what I wrote:I would like to start by offering my most sincere and deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims.I began working offshore at the tender age of 20 in 2000 and resigned my position March 2008. I had the honor and privilege of working with John Pelley on the "GSF Grand Banks".The reason why I started the group and website, was and will continue to memorialize and honor those who lost their lives, and to give hope and comfort to all those who have been affected by this horrific loss.It is my intention to give you all a place where you can go to express your feelings and memories of our friends/family/coworkers who lost their lives, and to send prayers to the families who have been deeply affected.I would also like to give my strength and love to Robert Decker and his family.
